Need For Speed World Goes Live !

Blog_NFSW_Launch_Screen_01

Yesterday, July 27th 2010 Need for Speed World went live and everyone can now download, install and play the game for free. The gates opened at 8:30 (PST) yesterday morning and the MMO racers have been flooding the EA servers. Matter of fact they had to stop all blog commenting from their site for 24 hours to free up bandwidth.

If you’re Interested in checking it out, you can download the game from the NFS World home page, just click the “Download Now” button, install the game and launch it. You will need an EA account to log in and play the game.

Has anyone out there tried it yet? If so, what was it like.. I think I’ll go check it out for myself and see what this new MMO for racing is all about. Need find a good joypad to play with though..

Curiosity got the better of me too. Boy was that a mistake! Even as an arcade racer this was bad. For some reason it wouldn’t let me get into control configuration, but it did recognize my G27.
This thing was a horrible waste of money on EA’s part, it was like stepping back 10 years–but I think NFS was better than this 10 years ago! LOL
